When considering homes priced over $1 million, this figure narrows to 1.9% of Tallahassee’s home buyers. This data indicates that luxury homes are selling better than ever before.

The Funding Behind Luxury Home Purchases

Many people wonder how buyers can afford ultra-expensive homes in Tallahassee, given its reputation as a government-centric city with seemingly limited job opportunities to support a large volume of high-priced home sales.

People often ask me how individuals pay for these ultra-expensive homes

This graph displays the proportion of luxury home buyers who financed their purchases, with a solid green line representing the percentage of financed purchases of luxury homes each year. Given the relatively limited sales in the top 2%, it’s expected to see annual fluctuations in these figures.
