About Indian Head Acres and Lehigh
Indian Head Acres and Lehigh first went under construction in the 1940s and now the neighborhood contains over 900 homesites. Most of the homes are ranch style brick homes with hardwood floors that range in size from 1,300 to 1,500 square feet.
Due to the larger-than-average lots and reasonable prices, many of the homes’ sizes have increased over the years as people expand the square footage on their existing house to allow for increased living space and all the conveniences of living close to the downtown area.
The location is not the only thing drawing in home buyers. There are two parks – Optimist and Koucky. The parks offer walking trails and the ability to become one with nature. The community holds a monthly potluck supper and it also has an annual Halloween Gathering called the Nene Fest, which features food, live music, and most everyone in costume.
Indian Head Acres and Lehigh are in close proximity to both FSU and FAMU, the Capitol building, Myers Park, and Cascades Park.
Besides Governor’s Square Mall, there are lots of places to go for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Most places you probably won’t even need to use your vehicle to get to. To name a few: Red Robin, Chipotle, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, New Leaf Market, Applebees for dining and Pier 1 Imports, The Moon, World Market, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Office Depot, Ross and Regal Cinemas for shopping and entertainment.
