Golden Eagle Home Sales Update

Picture of Golden Eagle This month's Golden Eagle Home Sales update will be written "on the road" as I am traveling. It is that time of year again where I visit my Alma Mater (West Point, NY) and see a couple hundred of my fellow ex Army Football teammates (or perhaps XXL Army Football teammates) so the next few days of the Tallahassee Real Estate Blog will be written in New York.

Just as a quick update from yesterday's blog post, I want to thank all of the respondents from yesterday's important poll. If you missed the blog about how Tallahassee Eagle Scouts Need Your Help, you can follow the link there. The poll at the end of the post asked for readers to evaluate four pictures, and I can tell you the results were not surprising.

It turns out that most readers felt that I was better looking than my brothers, but some of them were a close second. The results are shown in the pie chart below:

Just a quick graph this month and some observations. The real estate graph below shows the short and long-term sales trends in Golden Eagle Plantation, and it appears as if the market there shows some good signs of price stabilization. Of course, we see the drop in values as we have across the rest of the Tallahassee housing market, but hopefully Jim Cramer is right and the market will start seeing growth in 2011.

I have personally put my home on the market in Golden Eagle, so I am excited to see some positive news after three years of declines.
