Tallahassee Relocation Guide
Welcome Tallahassee Relocation Visitors! We want to help you in your Relocation to Tallahassee.
Tallahassee is widely known for it's historical culture and southern charm. But it doesn't stop there. Keep scrolling to reveal why YOU should relocate to Florida's beautiful and authenic capital.
Are You Relocating To Tallahassee?
If you are considering a move to the Tallahassee area, you’ve come to the right place. Most people are aware that Tallahassee is the state capital and home to Florida State University and Florida A&M University.
But those are not the only reasons to love living here.
Whenever an out-of-town home buyer asks me to describe Tallahassee, I always say that it’s the “biggest small town you’ll ever know.”
Tallahassee is the 125th largest city in the U.S. It’s non-student population is close to 200,000 and you can drive almost anywhere in less than 20 minutes.
Tallahassee is known for its many city parks and majestic tree-lined canopy roads. If you’re the type of person that enjoys the outdoors, there are plenty of hiking, biking, kayaking and fishing opportunities nearby.
Geographically, the city is divided into quadrants (NE/NW/SE/SW). Click here to explore the most prominent neighborhoods in every area of Tallahassee and to get a great feel for the types of homes currently for sale.
Tallahassee is a great place to settle down and raise a family.
If you have school-aged children, there is a wide array of public and private schools to choose from. Go here to find the most up to date grades for Leon County Schools.
You can also search homes for sale by school zone.
You’ll be absolutely amazed by the natural beauty of the Tallahassee landscape. Most think of Florida as a flat area with very little elevation. Let me tell you, Tallahassee does not abide by that rule!
It’s full of slightly rolling hills where changes in elevation are quite obvious. If you enjoy running for exercise, you’re sure to feel the difference (check out the Tallahassee Marathon if you REALLY like to run).
