I was recently asked what our most innovative effort was in 2010, and I knew the answer in the blink of an eye. Our real estate innovation for 2010 was the re-birth of the Tallahassee Real Estate Web Site. Unlike most real estate websites that are created on the backbone of nationally duplicated content, our web site contains 100% original content created by myself and others at Joe Manausa Real Estate.

According to a NAR survey of recent homebuyers in 2009, 94% of Home Buyers used the internet during their search for a home to purchase, yet most local real estate companies get very little web traffic. Our goal in 2010 was to create and sustain a dominant internet presence in Tallahassee in order to create more home buyer and seller relationships.

Information drives traffic on the internet, so our innovation in January 2010 was to create a bundled group of WordPress blogs to serve as a new company website with a focus on targeted industry keywords. Search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, targeting market leader Google, as well as leveraging the time and knowledge of our agents would allow us to drive tens of thousands of quality visitors each month, on a budget reduced by 87% over previous annual operations.
Real Estate Innovation Yields Results
Joe Manausa Real Estate has a solid foundation on the internet. Among real estate brokerages operating in Tallahassee, our real estate web site now boasts 693% more traffic than the combined web sites of the top 2/3rds of the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS®. That means when our clients list a home with us, we have the absolute best online property marketing capabilities.
We have generated over one million page views, and the traffic numbers are growing geometrically as our long-term web saturation plan takes root. 100% of the content on our web site and email follow-up campaign is original, thus Google, Yahoo, Ask and the other search engines are sending an increased flow of real estate specific traffic to our web sites.
The main real estate innovation is that our site enjoys a relatively large amount of page views and the traffic is almost purely organic (free) because it is search-engine based, content seeking people interested in Tallahassee real estate. While we are extremely excited about the results of our innovation in 2010, we are optimistic that we will see even greater returns in 2011.
