It's Easy To Get A Florida Real Estate License
Now that the housing market is showing signs of recovery in most regions of the US, I expect we'll see higher activity among people seeking to get a Florida real estate license.
I'll be the first to admit that it takes very little to become licensed to sell every type of real estate in Florida, but there is a process that one must complete.
There are a few different ways to get a Florida real estate license, and this article covers them in enough detail for you to recognize both "what it takes," and why you should be highly selective when choosing a real estate agent to help you buy or sell a home.
How To Get A Florida Real Estate License
Everybody who wants to get a Florida real estate license must pass an exam administered through an agency approved by the Florida Business and Professional Regulation. These test are administered in private training centers, and many are located outside of the State of Florida. Our own agent, Ron Rice, took his exam in Ohio before moving to the Tallahassee real estate market.
Additionally, there is an education requirement (only 63 hours which can be taken in an online training class at the convenience of the student) that must be completed prior to taking the Florida real estate license exam.
For people who have active real estate licenses in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, Nebraska and Oklahoma, there is a mutual reciprocity agreement that allows them to simply take and pass a 40 question test to become licensed to sell real estate in Florida. Florida Real Estate License School
You might wonder whether you should take live classes or if online training might be better, well my answer has changed over the years.
The real estate industry has moved online, most of the world is moving online, so I strongly recommend that people wanting to get a Florida real estate license take their training and conduct their studies online.
The State exam will be administered on a computer, so learning and preparing for the Florida real estate license test online will most likely be beneficial.
FREE BONUS!!! - Tell Ed (at The Real Estate School) that I promised you a FREE CD of Exam Questions & Answers when you enroll in the pre-licensing course. I believe I spent an additional $199 to take a "cram course" when I was preparing to take the Florida real estate license exam, and I only purchased the course because it contained the information that you will get for free if you take the pre-licensing course from The Real Estate School.
