6th Annual May Family Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash
Please keep April 27th on you calendar, as it is the date of the 6th Annual May Family Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash. (Link to Map)
Haley's Dad Don May (Senior VP at Farmers & Merchants Bank) sent me this reminder about her annual charity event.
As you may recall, this fundraiser was the idea of a great young lady, Haley May, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes right after her 11th birthday in 2007.
Haley Created The Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash
Haley is now an 11th grader at Chiles High School. When she was diagnosed, she asked if she could do something to raise money for the American Diabetes Association, so the May Family decided on a car wash (her idea). With your generosity, the first 5 car washes have raised right at a total of $42,000 for the American Diabetes Association.
Haley continues to do a great job of managing her Diabetes and being an advocate for the over 26 million Americans that have some form of Diabetes. Last year, she gave a speech on the steps of the Historic Florida Capitol with the Florida Surgeon General on World Diabetes Day and she spoke at the 2012 American Diabetes Cure Ball in Jacksonville.
She is very thankful for each of you that have supported the Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash and are key to helping her make her dream come true, which is raising awareness regarding Diabetes and ultimately one day finding a cure.
Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash
The car wash will be from 10-2 on Saturday, April 27th at the Farmers & Merchants Bank at 3320 Thomasville Road (corner of Metropolitan and Thomasville Road).
As in years past, there is no fee for the Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash, it is on a donation basis. The May Family and Haley hope to see you there.

If we all step up to support Haley in any way possible, this can be the greatest year ever for the Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash, please give Haley your support.
