Nikky Manausa
Nikky spent her childhood fishing and snorkeling in Key Largo, Florida. She moved to Tallahassee when she was in 9th grade where she attended Leon High School. She then went to Florida State University, first earning her bachelor's degree in elementary education and later completed a master's degree in learning disabilities and emotional disturbances. While at FSU, she met her husband, Bo Manausa, who "put a ring on it" and asked her to move to St. Maarten while he attended medical school. She promptly packed her bags, and took her two dogs with her, too!
Before moving to the Caribbean, Bo and Nikky purchased their first investment property in Tallahassee, a duplex, which they still own today. They spent two years in St. Maarten, where Nikky worked for a yacht broker and also taught second grade. They then moved to Waterford, Ireland, for a year, just long enough to have their first child, Maddie. Upon returning to the United States, they moved several times while Bo completed medical school and residency. They lived in Orlando, Tallahassee, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge. During this time, they had their second child, Randy. Nikky continued to teach and also worked to acquire additional investment properties to build their real estate portfolio. Once Bo finished his residency in 2011, they chose to move back to Tallahassee to be closer to their family. Nikky taught at DeSoto Trail Elementary as a math coach for two years before deciding to pursue real estate full-time.
"After investing successfully in real estate for over 12 years, including managing and purchasing properties abroad, the decision to become a Realtor came naturally," responds Nikky when asked why she decided to help others with their real estate transactions. Nikky enjoys working with buyers to help them find exactly what they are looking for at the best possible price. "I always have my clients' best interest at heart. Because we have relocated several times, I understand the stresses that accompany moving and buying a home. I also recognize the importance of finding the right home for your family and your life-style."
When not looking for Tallahassee's next best real estate deal, Nikky can be found running all around the city, literally. She has completed 7 marathons, including qualifying and running the Boston Marathon in 2015. "My favorite runs are those that I get to preview a property along the way. It gives me something to look forward to!" She is currently training to run her first 50K this December to support the 34th Tallahassee Ultra Distance Classic at Wakulla Springs State Park.
Nikky is definitely a "Realtor on the Run" who promises to deliver quality service to all her clients. She limits the number of buyers she works with to ensure every buyer receives her undivided attention.
