If you assume that the "correct" sell rate in the Tally market should have been 1,000 homes per year in the first quarter, then that means from 2002-2006, there were 1,500 homes more than normal that were sold. In 2007, the amount of homes sold was "about right" at about 1,000. The number of homes sold in 2008 and 2009 was about 1,200, a total of 800 less than the 2,000 that should have sold in a two year timeframe. While this is a big dropoff, it indicates that we are only about halfway through (800/1,500) the excess demand conditions experienced during the bubble.
