Today is a very short post as I am crunching the market numbers that have come in for the month of September in the Tallahassee real estate market. I would like to encourage you to visit The Market Bulletin – Tallahassee Real Estate Market Reports for all of the new analysis with charts and graphs for the month of September. All of the work should be completed by around 11:00 a.m. on Friday, the 17th of October. But as a preview, I have put together a trend analysis of the average home price for the counties around Tallahassee.
Tallahassee Area Average Home Values
From the graph we can see that the drop in average home values in Jefferson County and Wakulla County seem to have levelled off, while Gadsden County homes continue to rise.

Good stuff. It is remarkable how home prices in Jefferson County behave vastly different than other counties. Why do you think this is?
Love the cartoon!
Hey Shel, while I’m not certain, I think it might be due to the fact that Jefferson County is less populous and therefore the new development that occurred during the boom had a much more noticable impact on its overall market.
