Every month around this time, I am itching to discover the changes in supply and demand in the Tallahassee MLS so that I can anticipate market price movements. What I am hoping to find is an increase in home sales versus the same month in the prior year, and an overall reduction in the inventory [...]

A few weeks ago I wrote a blog about FSU Grads wanting to return to Tallahassee. It discussed the obstacles (jobs) to returning, as well as concerns about current and future home values. The blog was a response to a long-time reader who now resides in Ohio and would like to return one day.

The National Association of REALTORS® recently released a few reports that I find interesting. First, they reported that there have been nine (9) consecutive months of gains for pending home sales, suggesting that the housing market is poised for significant gains:

As I was assembling the 12th Edition of the Tallahassee Real Estate Newsletter (which goes out to all subscribers later this morning), I was happy to find that there were good signs showing up in many of my reports. For the past three years, we have been reporting nothing but declining home sales in Tallahassee, [...]

The data is in for the July housing reports in the Tallahassee real estate market. Even though I am still in New York City, I am able to download the data and I brought my spreadsheets with me. Of course, the first thing that I did after I recorded the data for the month of [...]
