Congress is considering new tax proposals that would place additional burdens on owners and investors in residential and commercial real estate. While this might not seem like a big deal to the average citizen, I can tell you the last thing our economy needs is a further collapse of the housing market. Read this blog, get the word out, then tell your Senators and Congressperson to back off of the real estate market!

Recently a reader of the Tallahassee Real Estate Blog, going by the name of “Nancy,” asked why we did not have a neighborhood report on our site for Pine Tip Hills in Tallahassee. Since I couldn’t come up with a good answer, today we’ll take a quick look at home sales in Pine Tip Hills.

You may have noticed that a large portion of the explosive growth seen in the Tallahassee real estate market over the past ten years came from condominium and townhouse sales. As the cost of land started growing in 2000, builders and developers adapted with smaller home sites and attached housing.
