In case you weren’t keeping an eye on the Market Reports page of the Tallahassee Real Estate Web Site, the new Tallahassee Home Inventory Report has been posted. This is a section of the web site dedicated to reporting “the numbers” as they occur. You might want to check out many of the daily reports that get posted there.

“We are going to have to wait until next year to sell our house,” is perhaps the concern that I am hearing most from upside-down homeowners, or those who have lost much of the equity in their homes. How often do we see reports about the housing market that seem to show that things are improving, only to find another report that seems to completely contradict the first? And how about when two reports “hit the headlines” at the same time, and seem to be covering the exact same issue, yet conclude with [...]

The 25th of each month is the day when we get to see the latest existing-home sales report that is published by the National Association of REALTORS®, so it is a day marked on my calendar for monthly action.

Unit sales were very low even for January, with sales plummeting 46% compared to last January and Tallahassee registering our 31st straight year-over-year drop (January 2009 vs. January 2008).
January is usually a very slow month for [...]

We like to track as much of the Tallahassee residential real estate market as we can at the Tallahassee Real Estate Blog. We know that vigilance in our observance will generate insight that will guide us in the future movement of the housing market in Tallahassee.
As we were preparing our monthly real estate graphs (for [...]

Often hear that the Tallahassee real estate market is cyclical, but sometimes a picture will show us much more than mere words can communicate.
I decided to pull residential sales in the Tallahassee real estate market from 1991 to the present (December 2007) in order to see what long-term trend could be found. The following graph [...]

Every so often, I like to look at different segments of the Tallahassee real estate market. I wrote a blog on the “Tallahassee Upper End” back in September of last year. Back then, I reported that there was over two years’ supply of homes over $700,000 in our MLS. (See Red Line Below)

Graph From September [...]
