Real Estate Video Is Changing Industry

I have several current projects that I would love to complete over the holiday season, but real estate video research moved into an entirely new category for this Tallahassee real estate broker. This is no longer a “how do we use it” project on my desk, rather it is a “how to we schedule and complete it” operation for our entire office.

Real Estate Video about Tallahassee Florida ImageFor our long-time readers of the Tallahassee Real Estate Blog (subscribed via email subscription), you might want to actually visit our blog on the web. We have updated the site and will record over five million (5M) page views in 2010. And apparently our visitors want to see more real estate videos.

Currently, we only have a few real estate video offerings on our site, but we are looking to expand our library. And we want to ask for your requests!

What kind of real estate videos would help make this a better site for people interested in buying, selling, or owning a home in Tallahassee, Florida?

Real Estate Video Real Estate Agent Parody ImageThe example on the right has been featured on the main page of the Tallahassee Real Estate Web Site for several weeks now, and it has had a few hundred visitors check it our there. But we also feature our Progressive Marketing Plan for selling a home on the internet, and even (as seen on the left) a parody of real estate agents everywhere.

But we want to know what you, our real estate customer and frequent web site visitor want to see. We have dabbled at creating videos of subdivisions in Tallahassee and we even have a real estate video showing a home being built right before your very eyes! It starts from a vacant lot, and minutes later it is a 5000 square foot brick house on a lake. This video has been viewed nearly 60,000 times!

The real estate video on the right is a home tour of the Eagles Ridge Subdivision in Tallahassee. I assembled this in March of 2008 with the intent of creating similar real estate videos of all the neighborhoods in the Tallahassee housing market.

Unfortunately (the road to hell is paved with good intentions), it would just take too much time to assemble, upload, and maintain such a vast library of videos of the Tallahassee real estate market.

So, what kind of real estate videos would you like to see?

Real estate video is huge and uses the ears and eyes. But area videos on the flavor of your local home town, places your peddle properties in is key too. Buyers want to see the area, what is around the sticks and bricks! Like the Thesis platform and downloaded it a while back to implement! Good job!

After working on homes for 30 years I’m looking froward to something new, and real estate is a natural move for me. I love this video idea. One neighbor has gone as far as using surveillance cameras to thwart criminals from car break-ins, vandalism, neighbors who don’t pick up after their pets. Residents love it because A) it keeps neighborhood crime down, B) reveals residents who don’t follow pet rules and are rude to fellow neighbors.

Not only is video a great way to promote a community, but it also tells the story of the kind of respectful and/or disrespectful residents that live in it. In NC, agents have a responsibility to buyers and sellers to tell the whole story, and the “image” of a neighborhood is a very real thing. Condition, Price, Location, and in the very near future, “Image” will start playing an important role in the market.

Saw you on Twitter by the way. Nice job!
