3rd Annual Dollars For Diabetes Car Wash Needs Your Dirty Car

13 year old Haley May wants to clean the pollen from your car. Haley is hosting the 3rd Annual Dollars For Diabetes Car Wash in order to raise money for the American Diabetes Association and she needs your help. Just drive your dirty car on May 1^st, from 10-2, to the Farmers & Merchants Bank at Thomasville Road and Metropolitan Boulevard.

As you might remember from the car wash last year, Haley was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in June of 2007.  As she learned to live with this tough disease, she decided that she wanted to raise awareness about this disease, since 23 million Americans have either Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes and another 54 million are pre-diabetic.

One way she chose to do this was with a car wash.  She started in April of 2008 and had so much fun that she made it an annual event.  Over the last 2 years, this event has raised almost $13,000, with over $7,000 coming in last year.  Haley, with her family and friends wash cars, sell food, and have a great time.

100% of every dollar collected goes to the American Diabetes Association.  The 2010 car wash will be on May 1^st, from 10-2, at the Farmers & Merchants Bank at Thomasville Road and Metropolitan Boulevard.  Please come out if you can; I promise your car will get a great wash job and the money will go to an excellent cause.
