Every year, I attend two very important business meetings. Both are centered around a “convention” environment, but both are also invaluable to a real estate broker in Tallahassee. This year (meaning flying out of Tallahassee on Wednesday morning at O-Dark-Hundred) I’m heading to San Antonio, Texas to meet with peers in both the real estate brokerage business as well as the international relocation business.
The first convention is the Cartus Mobility Convention, which will feature networking and educational courses on an industry that is silently gobbling up the traditional real estate brokerage model.
Cartus is the largest player in the international world of relocation and we are their principal broker in the Tallahassee real estate market! We receive a healthy influx of corporate buyers and sellers from them and we highly value our relationship with Cartus. Many of our higher-end home listings sell to buyers that have been relocated to Tallahassee and use Cartus as their relocation company.
The second convention is the CENTURY 21 convention. The Keynote speaker will be Dara Torres, a winner of twelve Olympic medals! I swam competitively for over 10 years, so hearing from such a great swimmer will be a treat. Well, I’m off to the airport, so my blog will be written from San Antonio.
